Founders of Crystal Aire
During his Senior year of High School, Dillon Cripps found himself
eavesdropping on an interview between his cousin and a Lincoln Tech
recruiter. Before it was said and done, he was hooked in and signed up
to begin life as an HVAC/R student shortly after graduation.
After getting his degree with LTI in February of 1995, he was soon
married that following April to the woman who would become the love of
his life and the inspiration for his future business, Crystal.
They moved to San Antonio, Texas after the wedding, where Dillon had
received an invitation and acceptance, thanks to his wonderful Uncle Bob
Blunt, to study with the Plumbers and Pipefitters Apprentice program
through the Local Union #142.
Wanting to move back to the DFW area to be closer to his immediate
family, he transferred to the P.P.A. program with Fort Worth’s Local
Union, #146, in 1997.
Dillon and Crystal made a life in the Fort Worth area as he continued
working in the industry for people such as Johnson Controls and Trane.
He, in the mean time met a lot of great people who became good friends
and mentors that inspired him to achieve better than the best.
Beginning in 2001 and through the next FIVE years, they became proud
parents of FOUR amazing miracles: Savannah, Noel, Zion and Serenity.
There are a lot of hair-pulling days, but there isn’t a day that goes by
they would change.
In January 2006, Dillon received his HVAC Contractors License and
officially started his own business naming it Crystal Aire after his
In April 2006, Dillon and Crystal officially became business partners
incorporated their business: Crystal Mechanical Aire, Inc.
In May of 2008, they were able to go full time with the company. Dillon
oversees the operations and Crystal runs the office. Together they make
a great team, and each wouldn’t do it without the other.
In April of 2015, the business had grown and the team they formed was
excelling, but for Dillon and Crystal God was calling them in a
different direction. With heavy hearts and lots of prayer they decided
in April 2015 to resign from the company. Though with great pride they
left the company to follow God’s path for them. Crystal Aire would not
be what it is today without their vision. The new owner of Crystal Aire
is Teresa Penner, she has been working with them since 2010, she is very
vested in the dream and vision of Crystal Aire, and plans to continue
the wishes of Dillon and Crystal moving forward.
